Arsenal beats Manchester United 1-0 and leads the Premier League

Leandro Trossard’s goal was the difference as Arsenal beat Manchester United to top the Premier League table, at Old Trafford Stadium, here on Sunday.

Arsenal’s Leandro Trossard took advantage of Manchester United’s dismal defending to give his team a 1-0 victory on Sunday that saw Mikel Arteta’s men provisionally overtake Manchester City for top spot in the Premier League tableeeee .

While Arsenal, who won for just the second time at Old Trafford in their last 17 visits, have 86 points with one game remaining in the closest title race in years, defending champions City remain in command with 85 points and two games to play.

Trossard scored in the 20th minute when Kai Havertz walked barely challenged into space on the right side before sending the ball into the box for Trossard to scoreee.

The match went from start to finish for a tense final few minutes, with United goalkeeper Andre Onana jumping to deny shots from substitute Gabriel Martinelli and Declan Rice.

United are eighth with two games remaining and are three points behind sixth-placed Newcastle in their quest for a European spot next season.
