President Joe Biden will address Democratic Party members next Thursday at the caucus’ annual issues conference, according to a person familiar with the situation.

The White House also announced Friday evening the expected appearance of Vice President Kamala Harris at the party convention for a moderated conversation on Wednesday “to discuss the Biden-Harris administration’s ongoing fight for basic freedoms.”BD, BD, BD, BD, BD, BD,

This is Biden’s third time serving as president at the party’s annual retreat, where lawmakers gather to strategize and deliver messages. Democrats held a closed session at the Lansdowne Resort in Leesburg, Virginia, a suburb of Washington, DC.

Democrats are expected to endorse Biden at this year’s convention, which will also be held days after the Democratic primary in South Carolina. Liberals hope Biden will revive energy among the party’s base in his re-election bid. One caucus member, Dean Phillips (D-Minn.), voted to challenge Biden in his long-shot bid for the presidency, though he has yet to gain any support from current lawmakers.

At last year’s convention in Baltimore, Biden offered an early preview of his 2024 campaign message, pledging to be an effective partner with lawmakers as they touted their past legislative accomplishments such as the infrastructure bill and the inflation-reducing law.
