Bridging the Digital Divide: A $250,000 Initiative

o9 Solutions, a leading provider of enterprise AI software platforms, has recently announced the launch of its first o9 Digital Tomorrow grant. The company plans to invest $250,000 to support initiatives that promote digital literacy and technological inclusion in diverse communities.

Igor Rikalo, president and COO at o9 Solutions, highlighted the significance of the digital divide in our global society. Those affected by a lack of access to technology are unable to fully participate in the digital age.

The grant aims to help communities improve digital literacy, expand access to technological devices, promote technology use by marginalized groups, encourage responsible digital citizenship, and foster innovation and community participation.

The application process is open to eligible entities, including non-profit organizations, community organizations, and educational institutions, until October 31, 2023.

The o9 Digital Tomorrow Grant is a testament to the company’s commitment to supporting social impact initiatives that promote inclusion and accessibility in technology. o9 has previously supported various community-focused organizations around the world. For example, they supported interns from the Microsoft and Tata STRIVE Cybershikshaa program, hosted a virtual panel with Girls Inc, donated laptops for a school in India, collaborated with India Cares Foundation, Swabhimaan, and VIDYA Integrated Development for Youth and Adults to set up a Computer Learning Center, and collaborated with the Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (TSWREIS) to provide resources to women engineering colleges.

Furthermore, in Q4 2022, o9 made a substantial contribution to Khan Academy to support their hosting costs, enabling access to free education resources for 750,000 digital learners across the globe.

Through the o9 Digital Tomorrow Grant, o9 Solutions aims to bridge the gap by funding organizations that provide access to technology and empower underserved communities to thrive in a technology-driven world.

Eligible applications will be reviewed by a panel of stakeholders within o9, as well as company partners. The final selection will be made by o9 leadership, and the selected entities will be notified in early December 2023.
