Britney Spears Stopped by Police for the Second Time in 2 Months Ahead of Bombshell Book Release

Britney Spears has found herself in legal trouble once again, this time for a traffic violation, just before the much-anticipated release of her memoir.

Page Six can confirm that the pop icon was pulled over earlier this month by the California Highway Patrol for making an improper turn.

According to court records obtained by TMZ, the “Stronger” singer was fined $327 for crossing over double lines.

Spears’ representatives have not yet responded to Page Six’s request for comment.

This incident marks the second time in two months that Spears has faced legal issues. On September 10, she received two separate citations for driving without a valid license and failing to provide proof of insurance, resulting in fines totaling $1,140.

Spears’ attorney, Mathew Rosengart, stated to Page Six, “Britney always had a valid license and insurance; this is comparable to a minor traffic offense.”

A reliable source also confirmed that the “Lucky” songstress indeed had insurance and a valid license.

Court records indicate that Spears was scheduled for a court appearance and due date on Tuesday — the same day her memoir, titled “The Woman in Me,” was released in stores. However, an insider revealed to Page Six that she was not obligated to appear in person, and any outstanding fines could be paid online.

The renowned singer regained her driving privileges in 2021, just a few months before her controversial conservatorship was terminated.

In her upcoming tell-all book, which has already claimed the top spot on Amazon’s bestsellers list, Spears divulges her reasons for complying with the conservatorship.

“I did it for my kids,” writes Spears in an excerpt obtained by CBS News.

Following a series of highly publicized mental breakdowns in 2008, the Grammy winner temporarily lost custody of her sons, Sean Preston and Jayden, whom she shares with her ex-husband Kevin Federline.

“Because I followed the rules, I was reunited with my boys,” she adds.
