Couple arrested for misconduct in prison

A couple has been arrested at the Waukesha County Jail for engaging in public sexual activity. Desmound Cleveland, 28, and Karen Hill, 67, are facing charges of disorderly conduct. The Wisconsin couple allegedly had sexual relations in the county jail lobby.

The incident was reported on Thursday, May 2, when a sheriff was alerted about indecent behavior at the location. Surveillance cameras captured the couple engaging in sexual activity around 3 a.m. According to Fox6, Hill admitted to the consensual relationship and mentioned attempts to maintain discretion by using clothing to cover up. The couple, who have been together for five years according to records, was seen trying to hide under a blanket to avoid being seen by the security camera.

During interrogation, Cleveland simply stated, “sex happens,” and acknowledged the presence of security cameras. They both appeared in court on Friday, May 3, where a bail of $1,000 each was set. County Supervisor Peter Wolff emphasized the need for a new ordinance against vagrancy and plans to present it later in May. It is a peculiar case that has attracted attention and raises questions about public decency and behavior.
