David Eason Responds to Child Abuse Accusations
David Eason, of Teen Mom fame, has finally broken his silence in a direct response to accusations of felony strangulation involving his wife’s 14-year-old son, Jace.
Indeed, after an alleged incident with Jace led to multiple reports of his running away from home, Child Protective Services stepped in to conduct an investigation. Jace eventually confided in his grandmother about Eason’s alleged actions, leading to widespread concern.
In light of this situation, Eason’s wife, Jenelle Evans, has stood by him, openly expressing support and claiming that “life is good” with him by her side.
Now, Eason has emerged from the shadows, expressing his point of view on Facebook, his response mirroring the insensitivity and callousness that have become his defining traits. In his characteristic style, he expressed disdain for the rumors of ring camera footage that purportedly depicts the violent act, dismissing it as baseless and unprovable. He also reminded his detractors how little their doubts affected him. Throughout his tirade, he maintained that “I’ve always done what’s right,” ignoring a number of previous incidents in which he has acted irresponsibly and with violence.
Of particular note is the fact that Eason infamously shot and killed the family dog. Evans, for her part, reported to a 911 operator that Eason broke her collarbone. Both these incidents cast a long shadow on Eason’s claim of always doing “the right thing.”
These claims have resurfaced in light of a recent court filing accusing Eason of inflicting physical injury on Jace. Jace sustained marks on his arm and sides of his neck as a result of the injury, and the filing clearly detailed these offenses.
Despite these allegations and reports, Evans has continued to support Eason, appearing to play the victim during her recent comments on the issue. She complained about the “bias” and “corruption” she has faced in North Carolina and vowed to leave the state as soon as this ordeal is over.
These attempts to delegitimize the felony charge against Eason and shift focus away from his alleged actions toward unwarranted police bias seem to have emerged as standard defense tactics. It is abundantly clear, however, that Eason’s actions appear to have violated the law and brought harm to Jace.
It is also important to note that many suspect that Mrs. Evans’ turned-first to her husband over the safety and well-being of her young son, a glaring red flag where family dynamics are concerned.
It appears that now the public is finally ready to take a long, hard look at Eason, his actions, and the alleged abuse that has taken place in his own home.
