NeNe Leakes Open to New Romance Two Years After Husband’s Death
Reality star NeNe Leakes recently revealed that she is open to finding love again after the passing of her husband, Gregg Leakes, two years ago. In an exclusive interview with ET at The Bomb Fashion Show by The Fashion Bomb Daily in New York City, she opened up about her personal life and her current dating efforts.
Leakes, who hosted the event, expressed her willingness to start dating again. She mentioned that she is looking for someone who is emotionally available, loving, and enjoys traveling. She emphasized the importance of being treated well by a potential partner. With a laugh, she also mentioned that when reaching a certain age, one cannot afford to be too picky and should be open to those who show interest.
However, NeNe Leakes acknowledged that she had already experienced the ultimate love with her late husband. Gregg Leakes sadly passed away in 2021 at the age of 66 after a battle with colon cancer. She stated that she doesn’t believe such love happens more than once in a lifetime but expressed excitement about the possibility of finding a new partner.
Aside from her personal life, Leakes also touched on her professional career. She mentioned that she is not opposed to doing reality TV again but emphasized that it has to be the right opportunity. She has had many offers for reality shows but wants to make sure she chooses the right project.
In addition to discussing her dating life and career, Leakes addressed her relationship with her 33-year-old son, Bryson. In July, Bryson was arrested and faced charges of felony drug possession and probation violation. NeNe revealed that she maintains a great relationship with him and speaks to him every week. However, she also acknowledged that he needs to go through the necessary process and find himself in a better place. Despite not having visited him, NeNe explained that she believes his situation requires more than just tough love and that he needs to take responsibility as an adult.
As the interview came to a close, NeNe Leakes highlighted her focus on finding happiness and fulfilling experiences in the future. She expressed gratitude for the love she shared with her late husband and her excitement about the potential of meeting a new partner. While she is open to opportunities in reality TV, she stressed the importance of finding the right project. As for her relationship with her son, she remains supportive but believes he needs to take steps towards self-improvement.
