Former Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel wishes for his fellow countryman, Victor Osimhen, to join The Blues if he leaves Napoli.

Osimhen has an impressive goal record with Napoli. He became the top scorer in Serie A last season, scoring 26 goals.

In this season, Osimhen continues to show good performance. He has already scored six goals in 10 matches.

Thanks to his excellent performances, Osimhen has been linked with several top European clubs, including Chelsea.

Osimhen’s future at Napoli has become uncertain due to a TikTok video scandal. Mikel believes that Osimhen would be a perfect fit for the Premier League.

“I think he (Osimhen) would fit perfectly in the Premier League,” Mikel said in “The Obi one” podcast.

“He has the tools to succeed in England.”

Mikel truly hopes that his fellow countryman comes to Stamford Bridge if he decides to continue his career in England.

Romelu Lukaku left Chelsea to join AS Roma. He claims that people would be surprised if the details of his departure were revealed.

Lukaku moved to AS Roma on loan. Initially, he was linked with Juventus after secret negotiations, even though Inter Milan was willing to buy him.

The Belgian failed in his second spell with Chelsea. Lukaku had shone with Inter from 2019 to 2021.

Lukaku explained that he is not someone who likes to beat around the bush. According to him, people would be surprised if he explained what happened last summer.

“Most people in the room know me. You know that I don’t like to beat around the bush. I talk at the right time, but if I really say how everything went last summer, everyone would be surprised,” Lukaku told Sporza, as quoted by Sports Mole.

“The biggest nonsense I read? That I was supposed to be told to go to a particular club, but that doesn’t make sense. There were moments when I could explode.”

“Five years ago, I might have done the same thing, but now I don’t waste energy on that. It was a time to be quiet and focus on myself. I concentrate on what I do well: playing football,” Lukaku emphasized.

Armando Broja, a product of Chelsea’s academy, recently returned after a long injury and started in the West London derby against Fulham last week. He scored a goal in the 2-0 win.

The Albanian striker was given another start in Chelsea’s next match against Burnley on Saturday (October 7), but he only lasted for 45 minutes before being substituted due to a disappointing performance.

Broja made no contribution at Turf Moor and slowed down Chelsea’s game, prompting Mauricio Pochettino to replace him with Nicolas Jackson. The Senegalese striker helped Chelsea secure a 4-1 victory.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Serie A giants Inter Milan are interested in signing Broja in the January transfer window. Nerazzurri believe they have a strong bargaining position if Broja continues to face “consistency” issues and lacks playing time at Chelsea. Inter has admired the player for a long time and has even monitored him during his loan spell at Vitesse in 2020/21, where he scored 11 goals in 34 matches.

The report suggests that a loan deal in January could be the way out, and the relationship between Chelsea and Inter remains close despite the failed loan transfer of Romelu Lukaku in the summer.

Last week, Pochettino praised Broja, saying, “When you start feeling [Broja] in training, you can feel his potential. Broja has tremendous potential. Right now it’s about how he can recover after a long absence.”

“He is a very talented player, and we trust him. Now he needs time to feel complete, both physically and mentally. Sometimes long-term injuries also affect your mental state. His mood is very good… he works very hard, and I hope he can develop in the coming weeks and become a player we truly believe in.”
