Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard Share Heartbreaking News of Stillbirth

Jill Duggar and her husband, Derick Dillard, recently made a heartbreaking announcement on Instagram. The couple revealed that they had experienced the stillbirth of their daughter, Isla Marie Dillard, after four months of pregnancy.

Rumors had been circulating for weeks about Jill’s pregnancy, but the couple had not confirmed the news until now. In a joint post on April 13, they shared the devastating news with their followers.

“It is with heavy hearts that we announce the stillbirth of our beautiful baby girl, Isla Marie Dillard,” the couple wrote. “Jill was 4 months pregnant (due in August) when we found out that our baby died in utero.”

The couple expressed their love for their baby girl, saying, “From the moment we found out we were pregnant, we couldn’t wait to meet our baby. Isla was much loved from the start, and her 3 big brothers were so excited to introduce her to their world.”

Jill and Derick thanked their followers for their prayers and shared that they were still grieving and healing from the loss of their daughter. They acknowledged that the process of grieving such a loss would likely last forever, as parents never truly get over the loss of a child.

The couple, who are parents to three boys, Israel, Samuel, and Fredrick, had previously experienced a miscarriage in 2021 with son River Bliss. Jill had shared heartfelt messages on social media to honor their lost baby.

Following the news of Isla’s stillbirth, friends, family members, and loved ones sent their condolences to the couple via Instagram comments. Jill’s sister, Jinger Duggar, and cousin, Amy Duggar King, were among those who expressed their support for the grieving parents.

Jill Duggar has been estranged from her parents and some siblings after releasing a memoir that delved into the controversial and conservative ways in which she was raised. The couple also participated in a documentary that exposed family and religious secrets, including allegations that their father was paid millions for the family’s reality show while the children received nothing.

Through all the challenges they have faced, Jill and Derick have continued to rely on each other for support. In a statement to TODAY.com, they credited each other for being a source of strength during difficult times, with Derick praising Jill for her role as a full-time mom and her support throughout his law school journey.

Our thoughts go out to Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard as they navigate this difficult time and mourn the loss of their daughter, Isla Marie Dillard.
