Man Shoots His Wife

An armed man attacked a daycare center searching for his wife, allegedly intending to harm her. The employees of the daycare center were terrified when the man, who was not allowed entry to the classroom where his wife worked, fired shots through a gap in the door. Fortunately, none of the approximately 70 young children present were injured in the incident.

The suspect was later arrested at the airport. Both his wife and a colleague were injured in the shooting but their injuries were not life-threatening. The children were evacuated safely by the authorities, who ensured that they remained calm and unaware of the situation.

The suspect, Julio Pascual Sejas, was charged with multiple offenses including aggravated malicious wounding and the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. Investigations revealed a prior domestic dispute between Sejas and his wife, leading to the tragic incident at the daycare center.

The case remains under investigation, and the community is urged to provide any relevant information to the Fairfax County Police Department. The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of addressing and preventing domestic violence.
