Manchester United is predicted to remain active until the last day of the transfer window. Currently, United has acquired four new players: Rasmus Hojlund, Mason Mount, Andre Onana, and Jonny Evans.

Apart from those names, there are still players linked with the Red Devils. They are said to be interested in the services of Marc Cucurela and Sofyan Amrabat.

Manchester United also has players on the selling list, such as Donny van de Beek, Harry Maguire, and Anthony Martial. Meanwhile, so far, nine players have been officially released.

Manchester United bid farewell to one of their legends. De Gea was a player inherited from Sir Alex Ferguson. He spent over a decade at Old Trafford. De Gea’s role will be replaced by Andre Onana.

In addition to the above seven names, Manchester United also parted ways with some of their main players. Erik ten Hag decided to release Phil Jones, who had been with the club for a long time but rarely played due to injuries.

Axel Tuanzebe was also released after failing to show significant progress. To date, the 25-year-old player has not found a new club.

Nine players have been officially released by Manchester United. Additionally, three loaned players have also been let go. They are Marcel Sabitzer, Wout Weghorst, and Jack Butland.

Manchester United (MU) has opened the new Premier League season with unconvincing performances. Despite making several new player acquisitions, The Red Devils are still expected to search for more players due to early season injury disruptions.

So far, MU has brought in four players on permanent deals. Mason Mount was recruited from Chelsea, Rasmus Hojlund from Atalanta, Andre Onana from Inter Milan, and Jonny Evans who was previously without a club.

Despite acquiring four players, MU has also let go of several players. Some players, including young talents, were released, such as Zidane Iqbal and Anthony Elanga.

Several players who were part of the first team and substitutes last season were also let go, including David De Gea, Fred, Alex Telles, and Axel Tuanzebe.

Nevertheless, with the remaining time in the summer transfer window, MU is still expected to recruit more players, at least on loan, particularly in positions such as left-back and midfielder. MU lost Luke Shaw and Mason Mount to injuries at the start of the season and they are expected to be absent for quite some time.

Furthermore, MU still can’t use Rasmus Hojlund in the attacking line due to an injury he sustained during the preseason with Atalanta. Erik ten Hag will need to find solutions to the limitations in the attacking line.

Before any new players arrive at MU, here is a complete list of transfers both in and out of MU so far:

Manchester United is not stopping its transfer activity this time around. The transfer window is about to close. The name Jean Clair Todibo has come onto United’s radar as the transfer window has only a few hours left.

The 23-year-old central defender is currently with OGC Nice. He is irreplaceable in the defense of this French club.

Throughout last season, the wonderkid played for Nice in 48 matches in various competitions. “According to The Sun, Manchester United is interested in recruiting Todibo in the final hours of the summer transfer window,” according to reports from Sportsmole, Thursday (August 31, 2023).

MU is involved in four different competitions, requiring a strong squad. That’s why Todibo is being looked at.

“Manchester United will offer a contract worth £385,000 per week. That means the player’s salary will significantly increase,” added the report from Sportsmole.

Todibo has entered his fourth season at Nice. So far, he has played for Les Aiglons in 104 matches in various competitions, contributing two goals.

It remains to be seen whether the defender will move to Old Trafford. Previously, MU had already acquired several names like Mason Mount, Andre Onana, and Rasmus Hojlund.

MU is also looking at Todibo to respond to the latest situation with Raphael Varane’s injury. The former Real Madrid center-back will be sidelined for more than a month.

Varane started as a starter for the Red Devils when Erik ten Hag’s squad faced Nottingham Forest a few days ago. However, after that, he was substituted and Ten Hag brought in Victor Lindelof.

In the second half, Lindelof paired with Lisandro Martinez. At that time, Manchester United managed to turn the match around after being 0-2 down.
