The puzzle of where Brazilian superstar Neymar would land after leaving Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has been solved as of Tuesday, August 15, 2023.

Following in the footsteps of his predecessor star, Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar has agreed to join the Saudi Arabian club, Al Hilal – one of the rivals of Al Nassr, Ronaldo’s club.

Al Hilal secured Neymar from PSG for a staggering fee of approximately 90 million euros (IDR 1.5 trillion). Additionally, Neymar has also landed a contract that encompasses astronomical terms.

Neymar’s salary at Al Hilal reaches 129.4 million pounds per year or around IDR 2.51 trillion. This salary is six times larger than Neymar’s earnings during his time at PSG. Neymar’s contract spans two seasons until 2025.

Moreover, Neymar is entitled to receive various facilities and support while donning the jersey of one of Saudi Arabia’s most successful clubs.

Neymar will have access to a private jet and a large house, accompanied by a dedicated staff to fulfill his needs.

Neymar will also receive astonishing bonuses and financial incentives, including an 80,000 euro (IDR 1.3 billion) bonus for every Al-Hilal victory.

Off the field, Neymar will generate 500,000 euros (IDR 8.3 billion) for each story or social media post promoting Saudi Arabia, as reported by Foot Mercato.

So, how does Neymar’s salary at Al Hilal compare to the earnings of two other European stars currently plying their trade in the Saudi Arabian League – Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema?

Cristiano Ronaldo is rumored to receive a wage of 177 million pounds per year or approximately IDR 3.45 trillion from Al Nassr. Meanwhile, Benzema, who was recruited by Al Ittihad, earns 172 million pounds or around IDR 3.3 trillion annually.

Neymar joined PSG in 2017 from Barcelona, setting a world transfer record at 222 million euros.
