Samsung Galaxy S23 Sales Exceed Expectations, Fueling Anticipation for Galaxy S24
With recent reports suggesting that Samsung’s world leadership in mobile sales is at risk, the company’s distribution numbers for the current Galaxy S23 in the Spanish market have been revealed. This information is crucial for Samsung as it looks to improve its sales estimates and prepare for the release of the next flagship model, the Galaxy S24.
The Galaxy S23 Ultra has been praised as one of the best phones ever sold by the Korean manufacturer on a global scale. It boasts the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, a remarkable 200 MP camera with incredible video stabilization, and improved performance and autonomy thanks to the Qualcomm SoC. These features have solidified its position as an excellent smartphone, putting the competition, especially in the Android market, at a disadvantage.
In a recent report from Korea, it is claimed that Samsung Galaxy S23 sales are performing exceptionally well compared to the previous Galaxy S22 series. Counterpointer, a market research firm, states that the Galaxy S23 series has shipped a total of 18.63 million units in the first few months of its availability. This represents a remarkable 23% increase compared to the 15.1 million units sold during the same period last year with the Galaxy S22 series.
With this significant increase in sales, Samsung is already ramping up production capacity for the upcoming Galaxy S24 series. According to ET News, Samsung aims to reach a production figure of 30 million Galaxy S24 smartphones. Out of these, 7.5 million will be Galaxy S24, 7.5 million for Galaxy S24+, and the remaining 15 million for the Galaxy S24 Ultra. This indicates that Samsung has high hopes for its Ultra flagship model.
In even more exciting news, there are rumors that the Galaxy S24 series may be announced earlier than expected, with production potentially starting in November instead of Samsung’s usual December timeline. While this has not been officially confirmed, it aligns with the brand’s interests and would allow the new Galaxy S24 to debut with a new OLED screen, a flat design to replace the curved sides, and the return of Exynos chips as the flagship processor in Spain.
Overall, the positive sales performance of the Galaxy S23 has generated anticipation for the release of the Galaxy S24 series. Samsung is taking proactive measures to meet the expected demand and ensure its continued dominance in the mobile market.
