Mini’s Newest Electric Car Unveiled
Mini has officially introduced its newest electric car, the 2025 Mini Aceman, which is set to hit Australian showrooms later this year. The Mini Aceman is the latest addition to Mini’s range of new-generation electric vehicles, joining the ranks of the larger Compatriot SUV and the traditional three-door hatchback, both available in gasoline or electric versions.
The Aceman, which is being marketed as a ‘crossover’ SUV, is actually a hatchback-sized vehicle that is manufactured in China. It is based on an electric car-specific platform that was co-developed with Chinese automotive giant GWM. The car features a sleek design that is inspired by other new Minis, with a blocky and minimalist style.

Inside, the Aceman offers a range of high-tech features, including a 9.4-inch central OLED touchscreen with the new OS 9 software, a ‘Hey Mini’ voice assistant, augmented reality satellite navigation, and an application store with downloadable video games. The cabin also features eight ‘Mini Experience’ modes that allow occupants to customize the interior lighting, driving sounds, and screen graphics.
Safety features in the Aceman include adaptive cruise control, lane centering assist, trailer reverse assist, and a remote parking feature. The car also offers a 360-degree camera, parking sensors, and a key-based car key on a smartphone.
