Victoria Nuland Resigns Following FOIA Request by The Gateway Pundit

Victoria Nuland, the architect of the disastrous US Ukraine policy since 2014, has announced her resignation as Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs in the coming weeks. This decision comes after a FOIA request filed by Gateway Pundit to uncover Nuland’s role in the death of US journalist Gonzalo Lira in Ukraine, who was subsequently arrested and tortured. Secretary of State Antony Blinken confirmed Nuland’s resignation today, praising her commitment to diplomacy and America’s global leadership at a crucial time.

The sudden resignation of Nuland follows massive Ukrainian casualties in the recent failed “Crimea Offensive” with a death toll estimated at 444,000 by Russia. Gateway Pundit’s FOIA request sought to determine Nuland’s involvement in the death of journalist Gonzalo Lira, who passed away in a Ukrainian prison earlier this year. Lira had accused Nuland of orchestrating his arrest and had produced a video outlining her actions in Ukraine.

As Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs under the Obama administration, Nuland played a significant role in the overthrow of the Ukrainian government in 2014, alongside figures like Antony Blinken, Jake Sullivan, and Joe Biden. She was famously caught on a phone call with then-Ambassador to Ukraine Geoffrey Pyatt, discussing the selection of the country’s next leader following the US-led coup.

Nuland also pressured Ukraine to dismiss Attorney General Viktor Shokin, who was investigating Hunter Biden’s involvement in the corrupt company Burisma. Joe Biden subsequently leveraged $1 billion in US loan guarantees to force President Viktor Poroshenko to remove Shokin from his position. Additionally, Nuland was implicated in the “Russiagate” conspiracy to undermine President Donald Trump by sharing the controversial “Steele Dossier” with the FBI.

Despite her resignation, Gateway Pundit remains committed to pursuing their FOIA request to hold Nuland accountable for her alleged role in Gonzalo Lira’s death. Nuland’s departure marks the end of a controversial tenure marked by significant foreign policy decisions and controversies both in Ukraine and on the international stage.
