Adam Harrison, the son of Pawn Stars’ Rick Harrison, passes away at the age of 39

Adam Harrison, the son of Pawn Stars creator and lead cast member Rick Harrison, has passed from an overdose. He was 39 years old. The tragic news was confirmed by the Harrison family late on Friday night. The family issued a simple statement that reads as follows: “Our family is extremely saddened by the death of Adam. We ask for privacy as we grieve his loss.”

According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Adam died from a drug overdose. His body was discovered in some form or fashion. Rick Harrison took to Instagram to pay tribute to his son, writing, “You will always be in my heart. I love you Adam.”

Pawn Stars premiered in 2009 and features Rick Harrison’s oldest son, 40-year-old Corey Harrison. Adam Harrison reportedly worked at Gold & Silver Pawn for a time but has not recently been employed there, based on various reports.

When asked about the circumstances behind Adam’s death, the Las Vegas Police department revealed that they were investigating the matter. Rick Harrison welcomed Adam and Corey with his first wife, Kim, and has a son, Jake, with his second wife, Tracy. He also has three daughters, Sarina, Ciana, and Marissa.

A number of Harrisons’ loved ones shared their condolences via Instagram in the wake of this loss. A close friend of Rick Harrison posted the following comment on Instagram: “I’m so sorry to hear about Adam. May he rest in [peace] and God bless you and your family my friend.”

Christopher Clawson also shared his condolences: “Condolences Rick. The fentanyl situation is out of control in this country and nobody seems to be doing anything meaningful about it. Use your platform to help change that.”
