On Friday, Jedidiah and Katey Duggar shared on their official Instagram account that they have welcomed their second child into the world. They posted adorable photos of their little girl and revealed her name – Nora Kate Duggar. Their caption read, “She’s here! And we’re so in love. Welcome to the world, sweet girl ❤️.” The couple also shared a cute picture holding their newborn. The Duggars already have a one-year-old son named Truett Oliver Duggar. In a YouTube video posted in December 2022 on their joint account, Jed announced the happy news of Katey’s second pregnancy. In the same video, Katey surprised viewers by showing off her baby bump with a sweatshirt that read, “Joy to the world oh and I’m pregnant.”
Jed and Katey also uploaded an eight-minute video on their YouTube channel documenting their birth story. It gave viewers a glimpse of the labor and delivery process, with Jed calling his newborn daughter “adorable” and kissing his wife on the forehead as she held onto their little one. Jed and Katey seem to be enjoying parenthood, even though there seems to be a rift between Jed and his family in the wake of Jill Duggar’s upcoming memoir.
In response to a fan’s comment on Instagram, Jed defended his family against accusations of being controlling and awful. He also shared a cute picture of himself and Katey enjoying a sunny day and uploaded some couples’ selfies, with Katey acting as their photographer each time.
Despite the family drama, Jed and Katey are grateful to welcome another healthy baby into their family. Jed expressed his gratitude on YouTube, sharing that they had a scary experience with low heart rates and a possible need for a C-section before Baby Nora arrived. Nonetheless, the couple prayed, and Katey did an amazing job during delivery. Jed proudly shared that Baby Nora is just beautiful, albeit with a little bit of a cone head that will go away.
