Brother of ‘El Mencho’ Falls

The recent arrest of Abraham Oseguera Cervantes, also known as ‘Don Rodo’, in Autlán de Navarro, Jalisco, by the National Guard, marks a significant development in the fight against the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG). ‘Don Rodo’ is believed to be a member of the CJNG and the brother of ‘El Mencho’, the leader of the criminal organization.

Authorities conducted the operation in Michoacán over the weekend, leading to the capture of ‘Don Rodo’. He was described as a man of white complexion, dark hair, and a height of approximately 1.70 meters. At the time of his arrest, he was wearing a red, blue, and white checkered long-sleeved shirt, blue denim pants, and black boots.

Previous reports suggest that ‘Don Rodo’ has a history of involvement in illicit activities related to drug trafficking. He had previously been arrested in San Francisco for selling drugs to undercover DEA agents. After serving a 10-year sentence, he returned to Mexico and resumed his criminal activities within the CJNG.

The arrest of Abraham Oseguera Cervantes is just one in a series of blows dealt to the CJNG by Mexican authorities. In addition to ‘Don Rodo’, his brother Antonio Oseguera Cervantes, also known as ‘Tony Montana’, was recently arrested. The impact of these arrests on the CJNG’s operations remains to be seen.

Overall, the capture of ‘Don Rodo’ represents a significant step forward in dismantling the criminal structures of the CJNG, one of the most powerful and dangerous drug trafficking organizations in Mexico and globally.
