Calls are being made for President Biden to be removed from office, with people suggesting that it’s time for the 25th Amendment to be invoked – The Gateway Pundit reports.

A growing number of Republican lawmakers and commentators are calling for the invocation of the 25th Amendment to remove President Joe Biden from office. This comes in response to a report by special counsel Robert Hur, which concluded that Biden knowingly and willfully removed, mishandled, and disclosed classified documents over a period of decades, and yet recommended that charges not be brought against him. The report also highlighted numerous instances where President Biden exhibited compromised mental faculties, leading some to argue that his cognitive issues pose a significant threat to national security.

Republican Congresswoman Claudia Tenney from New York recently sent a letter to Attorney General Garland expressing her “grave concerns” following the report. She firmly believes that the report’s findings warrant invoking the 25th Amendment to remove President Biden from office. Similarly, Senators Mark Levin, Mike Lee, and Rick Scott, along with Representatives Mary Miller and Ron Luna, and commentators such as Byron York, Sean Davis, and Andy McCarthy, have all taken to social media to express their support for the idea of invoking the 25th Amendment.

In her letter to Attorney General Garland, Congresswoman Tenney highlighted the “alarming” reasoning behind the special counsel’s conclusion that President Biden’s memory problems could be perceived sympathetically and noted the potential risk that this poses to the nation. She also tweeted: “Biden resign now.”

Likewise, Senator Mike Lee of Utah pointed out that President Biden’s cognitive issues pose a significant threat to national security, expressing his belief that his cabinet members should invoke the 25th Amendment. If they fail to do so, Lee argued, they and the President should be impeached. Senator Rick Scott reiterated this sentiment, stating that President Biden’s recent press conference, during which he mixed up the presidents of Mexico and Egypt, confirmed the need for the 25th Amendment.

Meanwhile, Senator Josh Hawley and Representative Mary Miller both explicitly called for the invocation of the 25th Amendment, with Miller asserting that Biden’s inability to remember basic facts about his life renders him incompetent to remain as Commander-in-Chief, thus putting America at risk. If Biden refuses to resign, Miller insisted that the Cabinet must invoke the 25th Amendment.

These calls are not limited to Republican lawmakers; commentators and former government officials, such as Former Assistant U.S. Attorney Andy McCarthy, are also expressing their support for invoking the 25th Amendment. McCarthy has pointed out that there is enough evidence to support the invocation of the 25th Amendment to remove Biden from office following the special counsel’s investigation.

This growing chorus of Republican voices calling for the invocation of the 25th Amendment places immense pressure on President Biden’s administration. Many have argued that the Democrats, who earlier argued for President Trump’s removal from office using the 25th Amendment, should now be consistent and apply the same standard to President Biden. The fact that former allies of the Democrats are now calling for such measures reflects the serious concerns regarding President Biden’s mental state and his ability to lead the nation. This represents a major turning point in Biden’s presidency, raising significant questions about his fitness to govern.
