Bryan Greenberg Joins Suits Universe in New Spinoff Series
Bryan Greenberg, known for his roles in One Tree Hill, How to Make It in America, The Mindy Project, and Friends with Benefits, is set to join the Suits universe in the upcoming spinoff series titled Suits: L.A. According to Deadline, Greenberg has been cast as a series regular in the new show, which is scheduled to begin production in late March in Vancouver, where the original Suits series was filmed.
In Suits: L.A., Greenberg will play Rick Dodsen, the protege of Ted Black, portrayed by Stephen Amell. The show follows the entertainment division of Black Lane Law and explores the dynamics of the characters as they navigate their personal and professional lives.
The news of Greenberg’s casting comes after NBC confirmed the pilot order for the spinoff series, which will also star Forest Whitaker, Josh McDermitt, Lex Scott Davis, Troy Winbush, and Alice Lee. The series, created by Aaron Korsh, will be executive produced by Korsh, David Bartis, Doug Liman, and Gene Klein, with Victoria Mahoney set to direct the pilot episode.
Suits: L.A. is the second spinoff of the original Suits series, which aired from 2011 to 2019 and gained a resurgence in popularity after being added to Netflix. Pearson, the first spinoff following Gina Torres’ character Jessica Pearson, was canceled after one season in 2019.
The original Suits cast recently reunited at the 2024 Golden Globes, where they reminisced about their time on the show. Despite the absence of Meghan Markle, the cast members expressed their excitement to see each other and catch up on old times.
