In documents filed on April 16 in Fulton County, Georgia, Jeezy, whose real name is Jay Wayne Jenkins, is seeking joint legal and physical custody of their daughter, with a specific parenting time schedule to be determined by the court in the best interest of the child.
According to the court documents, Jeezy claims that he and Jeannie had previously arranged an informal custody agreement that broke down earlier this year. He alleges that he has not had significant parenting time with Monaco and that Jeannie has blocked his number, preventing him from FaceTime calls with his daughter.
In previous court documents obtained by ET, Jeezy had sought primary custody of Monaco, citing concerns about Jeannie’s busy schedule and excessive travel impacting the child’s well-being. When Jeezy finally exercised his parenting time on April 8-9, 2024, he claimed that Monaco appeared lethargic, exhausted, and underweight. Jeannie, in previous court documents, raised safety concerns about Jeezy’s possession of firearms, alleging that they had been unsecured in the past.
In response, Jeezy denied the allegations, stating that he always ensures his firearms are safely secured away from Monaco. He accused Jeannie of staging a photo to make it appear otherwise and emphasized his Second Amendment right to own a firearm.
