Title: Keelon Russell Praises Lane Kiffin Ahead Of Official Visit
One of the hottest prospects in the country this spring has been Duncanville (Texas) four-star quarterback and SMU commit, Keelon Russell. While he is committed to the Mustangs, a number of other programs have shown interest in the talented quarterback, including Ole Miss. Russell recently praised Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin ahead of his official visit to the school.
Russell spoke highly of Kiffin’s coaching style and the opportunity to play under him. “Ole Miss was literally one of the schools that jumped on me first. They were like my fifth or sixth offer in my recruitment. When I talked to Coach Kiffin, he showed me the offense, and it was like, ‘Wow, I like the way he coaches,'” Russell said.
The quarterback also mentioned the importance of relationships when making his college choice. “To me and my family, relationships are important. Sealing a relationship with Coach Kiffin over the next few years is great for me,” Russell added.
Russell’s official visit to Ole Miss is expected to solidify his commitment to the school. With Kiffin’s reputation and coaching style, the quarterback could be a valuable asset to the Rebels’ program.
