Khloe Kardashian: I’ll Never Get Back Together with Tristan Thompson, for the Kids’ Sake
On Thursday night’s episode of the Kardashian family’s reality show on Hulu, Khloe Kardashian made it crystal clear to her mom, Kris Jenner, that she would never get back together with Tristan Thompson.
Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson split in early 2021 after many instances of cheating. The couple shares a five-year-old daughter named True and a one-year-old son named Prince.
Khloe Kardashian revealed that she and Thompson have a great friendship relationship but that they would not be getting back together. She emphasized that it was all for the sake of their children.
“Tristan and I, we always get along great. Him and I have a great friendship relationship, we get along fine, and for my kids, I will put anything to the side,” she told Jenner during the episode.
Khloe Kardashian went on to point out that they were “definitely putting our foot down around a lot of things.” She explained that Thompson has cheated on her several times in the past and they’ve done this dance before.
The reality TV star also added, “No one’s just here chilling if there’s no kids involved.”
Khloe Kardashian made it clear on the episode that she had no intention of getting back together with her ex-boyfriend Tristan Thompson. Given all the drama that surrounded their relationship, this isn’t a surprise to anyone.
The couple has had a rocky couple of years. Thompson first cheated on Kardashian when she was pregnant with their daughter True. Then, years later, he fathered a child with Maralee Nichols after Khloe took him back and gave him another chance.
Despite all of this, Khloe Kardashian has never publicly bad-mouthed her ex. She continues to hang out with him, which has led to unrelenting rumors of reconciliation that she has had to refute at times, explaining that they are just co-parenting their child.
“This relationship is so important to work well for the kids’ sake,” she said. “I keep it very short and sweet, and make sure he knows it’s always about the kids because it’s so easy to fall back into [habits].”
Overall, Khloe Kardashian’s message was simple: “I don’t need to ‘punish’ him because I’m not getting back with him.”
Despite all the ups and downs that Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson have gone through, the reality star continues to prioritize her relationship with her ex-boyfriend for the sake of their children, even though she has made it clear that reconciliation is off the table.
