MANCHESTER UNITED

Luke Shaw and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Manchester United’s defenders, are facing an extended period on the sidelines and may not return to action before the November international break, according to reports from ESPN. The Red Devils have been plagued by injuries throughout this campaign, and the absence of key players like Harry Maguire has added to their woes.

In addition to Maguire, Shaw, Wan-Bissaka, and Tyrell Malacia are among the defenders currently dealing with injuries, although there is a glimmer of hope with the potential return of Raphael Varane.

It is now being suggested that Luke Shaw and Aaron Wan-Bissaka could be out of action for an additional two months, with their potential return slated for the game against Everton on November 25. Shaw has been sidelined since the defeat against Tottenham Hotspur due to a muscle injury, while Wan-Bissaka suffered a hamstring problem during the match against Brighton & Hove Albion last weekend.

Manchester United is facing significant challenges ahead, with both poor results and a string of injuries. While they managed to navigate similar setbacks last season, the situation has been more challenging this term.

Currently, Erik ten Hag, the manager, has only Diogo Dalot and Sergio Reguilon as fit full-backs, which raises concerns about defensive cover. There is also no return date in sight for Tyrell Malacia, who sustained a knee injury over the summer and has yet to resume individual training.

United will be hoping for Malacia’s return ahead of Shaw and Wan-Bissaka, providing the manager with additional defensive options. In the absence of the injured players, Ten Hag may have to consider playing Victor Lindelof and Lisandro Martinez at right-back and left-back, respectively, as a last resort.

Manchester United is determined to put an end to their three-match losing streak when they face Burnley on the road tomorrow.
