The multi-Grammy award-winning Puerto Rican star was accompanied by his wife Nadia Ferreira and his two sons, Cristian and Ryan Muñiz, as he received this recognition last week.
During the ceremony, Anthony emphasized the influence of his Latino roots and the people closest to him in shaping his success. In an interview with Today, he humbly expressed, “I am beside myself and humbled. I’m taking it in and I’m thinking about my kids and I’m thinking about my friends. And I’m a collection of that and I’m not worthy because I have so much more to do.”
The event took an unexpected turn when David Beckham, owner of Inter Miami and a longtime friend of Marc Anthony, surprised him by appearing as a guest speaker. Beckham and Anthony first met 20 years ago during their time at Real Madrid and developed a special bond. Beckham remarked, “I now dress a little bit like him. I learned salsa for one man only, but please don’t tell my wife. But when we met, we immediately had a special connection. I knew that I had a friend for life.”
