In a shocking incident during her performance at the British Summer Time Festival on June 25, Pink was taken aback when a fan threw a bag of their mother’s ashes onto the stage. A TikTok video captured the moment, showing Pink approaching the bag with a bewildered expression.
Addressing the person in the crowd, the 43-year-old singer asked, “This is your mom?” She added, “I don’t know how to feel about this.”
Despite the unexpected encounter, Pink handled the situation with composure. She walked the bag to the front of the stage, placed it down, and continued her performance of “Just Like a Pill.”
After the incident, the Grammy winner took to Instagram to express her gratitude and reflect on the eventful weekend. On June 26, she posted a video on Instagram recapping the two-day festival at London’s Hyde Park, which included a clip of fellow singer Gwen Stefani and her daughter, Willow Hart. Pink captioned the post, “@bsthydepark it is the joy of my life to play with all of you. I am never not grateful.”
Although Willow was only an audience member at the British Summer Time Festival, she joined her mother on stage earlier this month. The 12-year-old and Pink performed their song “Sunshine” together on the opening night of Pink’s Summer Carnival 2023 Tour.
For the heartfelt performance, Pink wore a fluffy pink jacket paired with a blue skirt, while Willow, her daughter with husband Carey Hart, donned a pink and orange striped dress as they sang the lyrics together.
Later that night, Carey expressed his pride in his wife and daughter’s incredible performance. Sharing a video on June 7, the motocross competitor captioned it, “Proud of Willz to get up on stage w/ mama @pink!!!!! Must be a surreal moment for mama to have w/ her lil girl on stage. Looks like 1st show of the tour kicked ass!!!!!”
