Almost six years after the heinous murder of Juan Luis Lagunas Rosales, better known as the Pirate of Culiacán, people are still talking about it.

Repercussions of the Assassination
However, not only El Doble R is linked to the murder of the Pirate of Culiacán, but also Emilio Alexandro Pinedo.
Known as El Sobrino, he incriminated himself after being captured, as pictures of murdered individuals were found on his phone.
Among these pictures was Juan Luis Lagunas Rosales. Subsequently, authorities sought El Doble R in order to arrest El Mencho.
Ricardo Ruiz Velazco was captured in December 2014. Despite having nine arrest warrants against him, the authorities released him.

According to reports from Prensa Libre, the authorities confirmed that it was El Doble R who ordered the execution of the Pirate of Culiacán.

One of them being that no one could mock Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, El Mencho, let alone the Jalisco New Generation Cartel.
