PlayStation 5 Pro is reported to be launching during the Holiday season of 2024.

Leaked information suggests that the Sony PlayStation 5 Pro (PS5 Pro) is likely to be released this holiday season, meaning by the end of 2024. This information surfaced alongside leaks regarding the recent specifications detail of the PS5.

YouTube channel Moore’s Law is Dead recently leaked details about the PS5 Pro, which according to Tom Henderson from Insider Gaming, originated from documentation recently sent by Sony to third-party developers.

Although confirmation from Insider Gaming doesn’t need to be taken too seriously, Henderson has a fairly good track record when it comes to leaking information. In 2022, he reported that Sony was working on an “authentic pro controller” for the PS5, two months before the DualSense Edge was officially announced. He also revealed that Sony would release a console version with a removable disk drive a full year before Sony introduced the smaller and lighter PS5 model.

Based on the leaked information so far, the PS5 Pro will offer better and consistent frame rates (FPS) at 4K, as well as a “performance mode” for 8K resolution. This console is also expected to make games up to 45 percent faster and have ray-tracing capabilities that are two to three times faster than the non-pro version.

Moore’s Law is Dead documentation displayed in its video indicates that the PS5 Pro will have a GPU with performance of 67 Teraflops FP16 (33.5 Teraflops FP32), suggesting faster speeds and overall better graphics.

Henderson said Sony is targeting a holiday release for the PS5 Pro, most likely to capitalize on increased sales this season. However, this could still change, depending on whether Sony feels there are not enough first-party game titles released this year.

Leaks about PS5 Pro Specifications Show Significant Improvement on CPU and GPU, Take a Peek at the Details Rumors about the upcoming Sony console, PlayStation 5 Pro, have been circulating for some time. Although details are still scarce, recent leaks have outlined the potential specifications of the gaming console.

If the specified specifications reported by Insider Gaming can be trusted, the PS5 Pro CPU will remain identical to the standard PS5. However, the Pro model is said to introduce a new ‘High Frequency CPU Mode’.

This mode is reported to push the CPU clock speed to 3.85GHz – an increase of 10% compared to the standard console. However, this may decrease GPU performance by around 1.5%.

Moreover, the PS5 Pro is rumored to receive a 28% bandwidth increase. This means the console will have a speed of 576 GB/s compared to the standard edition’s 448 GB/s.

Higher memory bandwidth allows for faster data transfer between the system memory and GPU, which can enhance graphic fidelity, faster rendering, and overall better game performance.

Leaks of PS5 Pro GPU detail reveal dramatic performance improvements, with potential increases of 45% in rendering power, 2-3x (even 4x) faster ray-tracing performance, and power of 33.5 teraflops.

All of this is in addition to specialized hardware for ray-tracing acceleration, thus concluding that the PS5 Pro aims for a seamless 4K experience and a vision of 8K in the future. !!!!!!!!

Alongside this, the PS5 Pro is said to have better audio technology. Audio Compute Voice (ACV) is reported to run at a higher clock speed, resulting in a 35% performance increase for the Audio Compute Module (ACM) library.
