Recall issued for 2013-2018 Ram 2500 over emissions non-compliance issues

Ram Trucks Australia recently issued a recall for one of its 2500/3500 vehicles sold between 2013 and 2018 due to a potential emissions compliance issue. The recall notice states that the engine control software in the affected vehicle may need updating to meet Australian Design Rules emissions standards. While there is no safety risk associated with the defect, the vehicle may not comply with ADR 80/03 – Emissions control for heavy vehicles.

The recall notice was issued on February 21, 2024, and affects one vehicle. Owners of the affected vehicle can download a list of affected VINs from the recall notice website and are advised to contact their nearest authorized dealer for a free software update.
