Vanderpump Rules’ Rachel “Raquel” Leviss Is One Year Sober Amid Mental Health Journey

Rachel “Raquel” Leviss, formerly of Vanderpump Rules, shared exclusively with E! News that she has reached nearly one year of sobriety after undergoing treatment at a mental health facility last year. Leviss is taking significant steps towards her healing process.

The Vanderpump Rules alum revealed that she embarked on a journey to sobriety and has been prioritizing her physical fitness as part of her efforts to enhance her mental well-being, particularly following the turmoil surrounding the show’s Scandoval cheating scandal last year.

“I’ve been fully immersing myself in hot yoga,” she disclosed to E! News at the iHeartRadio Music Awards, which aired on April 1. “I’ve been doing Pilates, hiking, staying incredibly active to keep my mind occupied and prevent it from spiraling.”

Leviss is also focused on building a supportive community, which includes abstaining from substance use. “I am approaching nearly a year of sobriety. By Wednesday, it will mark one year,” she mentioned. “It’s a significant achievement, and I’m immensely proud of the progress I’ve made.”

Another positive change in the life of the 29-year-old, who began a two-month stint at a mental health facility in April 2023, has been minimizing her time spent on Instagram by unfollowing numerous accounts. She has retained only a select few that align more with her perspective, as she values ensuring her voice is heard.

Additionally, Leviss has utilized her podcast, Rachel Goes Rogue, as a platform to share her experiences, providing a source of profound healing for herself. “I’m sharing insights I’ve gained about myself through this journey,” Leviss elaborated to E!. “I hope to offer assistance to others who have endured abusive relationships or toxic friendships and can relate to my experiences.”

She concluded, “It feels like I’ve regained control over my life. I feel empowered by it.”
