Legacy Motor Club Names Ben Beshore as Crew Chief for John Hunter Nemechek for 2024 NASCAR Cup Season

Legacy Motor Club made an exciting announcement on Monday, revealing that Ben Beshore will take on the role of crew chief for John Hunter Nemechek and the #42 team for the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season. This move comes after Beshore’s successful stint as Nemechek’s crew chief in the 2023 NASCAR Xfinity Series, where he led the team to seven wins and secured a Championship 4 berth with Joe Gibbs Racing. The upcoming year will mark the full-time return to NASCAR’s top-level series for both Nemechek and Beshore, as they set their sights on clinching the 2024 title.

Expressing his excitement about joining Legacy Motor Club and working with Nemechek once again, Beshore conveyed his eagerness to build something truly special with the #42 team. In a statement released by the team, Beshore shared, “I’m excited to join Legacy Motor Club and continue working with John Hunter in the Cup Series – we had so much success last season. I’m looking forward to helping build this program into a perennial contender that can compete at the highest level possible each and every week.”

With an impressive track record in the NASCAR Cup career, Ben Beshore has previously competed in 71 races, all with Kyle Busch. His notable tenure includes serving as crew chief in a part-time role for three races in 2017 and working with Busch from 2021 to 2022, during which time they secured three race wins. Additionally, Beshore has accumulated a total of 15 victories in the Xfinity Series while working with multiple drivers such as Nemechek, Busch, and Harrison Burton.

John Hunter Nemechek, the 26-year-old driver who achieved a series-leading seven wins in the Xfinity Series this season, is making his return to the Cup Series next season for the first time since 2020. Nemechek expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to reunite with Ben Beshore and is looking forward to building upon their partnership to achieve more wins and ultimately vie for the championship.

In a statement released by the team, Nemechek remarked, “The partnership between driver and crew chief requires a type of chemistry that is hard to find. As a driver, if you’re lucky enough to find a crew chief that you mesh with as well as Ben and I do, you do everything possible to stick together. I look forward to building on our competitive partnership and fighting for more wins and championships.”

Fans and enthusiasts can catch the dynamic duo in action when the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series kicks off with the Daytona 500 at the historic Daytona International Speedway on February 18th.

As the excitement for the upcoming season continues to build, all eyes will be on Ben Beshore and John Hunter Nemechek as they aim to make their mark in the NASCAR Cup Series with Legacy Motor Club. Stay tuned for more updates and insights as the 2024 season approaches.
