Christine Quinn’s husband Christian Dumontet has found himself in trouble with the law for the second time this week. On March 20, just a day after being arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, Dumontet was once again taken into custody by the Los Angeles Police after returning to the family home despite Quinn being granted an emergency protective order. This information comes from a booking log obtained by E! News and other celebrity gossip outlets.
The protective order was put in place after a domestic incident that occurred between Dumontet and their two-year-old son Christian. Authorities reported that Dumontet threw a bag with glass at Quinn, but missed and ended up striking the child, causing injury that required a visit to the hospital. Fortunately, the child’s injuries were not serious.
Dumontet was arrested on both occasions on $30,000 bail, which he paid upon release. According to jail documents, he is scheduled to appear in court on April 11.
Quinn, who left the show Selling Sunset in 2022, has not commented on the arrests or the alleged assault. However, a source close to her told E! News that her focus is on the safety of her child and ensuring that they remain safe and protected. Quinn has hired legal counsel to work on filing a restraining order.
Quinn and Dumontet got engaged in February 2019 and tied the knot later that year in a lavish ceremony featured on Selling Sunset Season 2. They welcomed their son in May 2021.
During their engagement party, Dumontet expressed his love for Quinn, saying, “I absolutely fell head over heels in love” and shared how they instantly connected and had a special banter in the car. Quinn reciprocated these feelings, noting the differences between them and how they complement each other.
“I love to put myself out there,” Quinn said in a 2020 interview with Bustle. “I love to be fabulous. He doesn’t care about dressing up or looking good. He only cares about his work and traveling. Which I care about as well.”
Despite their strong bond, Dumontet’s recent arrests have cast a shadow over their relationship. As the legal proceedings progress, Quinn remains focused on ensuring the safety and well-being of their child.
