For $65,500, the 2024 Mercedes CLE Cabriolet ensures the continuation of the convertible experience.

Mercedes Introduces the 2024 CLÉ Cabriolet as Replacement for C-Class and E-Class Convertibles

Mercedes-Benz has made a significant change to its convertible lineup by discontinuing the C-Class Cabrio and E-Class Cabrio models. This move has paved the way for the introduction of the all-new 2024 Mercedes CLÉ Cabriolet, which will be hitting dealerships this spring with a starting price of $65,500. The CLÉ Cabriolet is positioned as the brand’s entry-level convertible cruiser, offering a more upscale and affordable option compared to its predecessors.

The new CLÉ Cabriolet is based on the CLE Coupe, sharing similarities in design cues such as the face, headlights, taillights, and shoulder line. It boasts a sleek and stylish exterior that sets it apart from the C-Class Cabriolet it replaces, while also offering a sportier look compared to the E-Class Cabriolet.

Inside, the CLÉ Cabriolet takes inspiration from the SL Class convertibles, featuring an upright infotainment screen, curved air vents, and a split-spoke steering wheel. It comes equipped with Mercedes’ Air Scar and Air Cap technologies, designed to enhance comfort and driving experience with the top down. The Air Scar system ensures the necks of front passengers stay warm in cold weather, while the Air Cap technology helps deflect wind over passengers for a more enjoyable ride.

One notable feature of the CLÉ-Class Cabriolet is its four-seat configuration, distinguishing it from its SL-Class counterparts that typically offer two seats. This allows the CLÉ Cabriolet to strike a balance between practicality and style, blending the best of both worlds.

At launch, Mercedes will offer two models of the CLÉ Cabriolet: the CLE 300 4Matic Cabriolet and the CLE 450 4Matic Cabriolet. The CLE 300 comes equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine paired with a 48-volt mild hybrid system and an integrated starter generator, delivering 255 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. On the other hand, the CLE 450 features a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline six-cylinder engine producing 375 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque, with a starting price of $77,600.

Overall, the introduction of the Mercedes CLÉ Cabriolet marks a significant upgrade to the brand’s convertible lineup, offering a more attractive and competitively priced option compared to its predecessors. If you’re in the market for a luxurious and stylish convertible, keep an eye out for the all-new CLÉ Cabriolet as it makes its way to your local dealer.
