Fox Shocks is offering for sale the Skunkworks Silverado, featuring 700 horsepower and an adventurous suspension system.

The 2024 Chevrolet Silverado Fox Factory Edition is setting a new standard in the truck world with its powerful features and innovative technology. The truck is equipped with a supercharged 6.2-liter Whipple V8 engine that produces an impressive 640 lb-ft of torque. But the most remarkable aspect of the truck is its Brenthel brothers’ semi-active Live Valve dampers and suspension system.

Fox plans to sell only 500 units of this limited edition truck, each coming with a three-year/36,000-mile warranty. The Fox Live Valve shocks on this Silverado are similar to those used in the F-150 Raptor, capturing acceleration, braking, and steering signals to optimize the suspension for a smooth and stable driving experience. The suspension communicates with the truck’s ECU and chassis systems to provide the best performance on various terrains.

The Silverado also features terrain-specific driving modes that can be easily selected through the dashboard. Fox promises to continue improving the driving experience for owners with over-the-air updates and the ability to monitor suspension telemetry via the Fox mobile app. This holistic upgrade transforms the Silverado into a beast capable of tackling even the toughest Baja situations.

The hardware of the Fox Silverado is just as impressive as its software. The truck is equipped with 3.2-inch internal bypass shocks that offer multiple zones of damping control, providing better performance in all conditions. The shock fluid is kept cool with a recirculation cap and finned reservoir, ensuring maximum performance even in high-temperature environments.

To further enhance the truck’s off-road capabilities, the Brenthel brothers installed a Baja Kits suspension package, increasing the truck’s overall track width by six inches. This setup includes 14.5 inches of usable suspension travel, strong control arms, steering knuckles, and specialized trailing arms made from billet aluminum.

The powertrain of the Fox Silverado consists of a 10-speed automatic transmission, JE Reel driveline, and Dana 60 semi-floating rear axle with an ARB air lock. A 3.73 gear set and 35-spline chromoly axles provide excellent traction and handling on any terrain. The Borla exhaust system adds to the truck’s performance, giving it a powerful sound even at idle.

With its impressive features and limited availability, the Fox Silverado is expected to be a strong competitor in the truck market. Whether Chevrolet decides to partner with Fox for a factory project remains to be seen, but the first 500 buyers will have the opportunity to experience the power and capabilities of this special edition truck.
