AEW star Jon Moxley made a triumphant return from injury at the recent WrestleDream event. Although he was not cleared to compete due to a concussion he suffered at the hands of Rey Fenix, he still played a pivotal role on commentary. However, Moxley found himself in hot water after using curse words during his commentary, leading to a fine from AEW.
In a recent interview with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, Moxley opened up about his thoughts on his commentary role at WrestleDream. He acknowledged the challenges of being a commentator, citing the various elements involved such as listening to instructions from the production team and avoiding talking over others. Despite the difficulties, Moxley found the experience to be enjoyable. He also expressed gratitude for the opportunities he has been given, considering himself to be unqualified for these roles.
Moxley’s commentary received positive feedback from fans, who praised his performance at AEW WrestleDream. One particular person who was impressed was none other than his wife, AEW backstage personality Renee Paquette. Paquette took to Twitter during the pay-per-view event to express her admiration for Moxley’s microphone skills, referring to him as a “hunk” and commending his abilities.
While Moxley’s commentary was well-received, it is evident that he is eager to make his comeback to the ring and resume his wrestling career.
