Real Madrid offers Jude Bellingham a six-year contract

Jude Bellingham’s transfer to Real Madrid has been finalized

Real Madrid has officially offered Jude Bellingham a six-year contract following his move from Borussia Dortmund.

In a statement released on Real Madrid’s official club website, it was confirmed: “Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund have reached an agreement for the transfer of Jude Bellingham, who will be associated with our club for the next six seasons.

“The presentation ceremony for Bellingham as a new Real Madrid player will take place tomorrow.”

The 19-year-old English talent, Bellingham, made the move to Germany from his boyhood club Birmingham in 2020.

Despite interest from several clubs, including English Premier League giants Manchester City and Liverpool, Real Madrid announced last week that they had agreed to pay an initial fee of £88.5 million for his services.

Bellingham’s exceptional performances for Dortmund earned him the title of Bundesliga Player of the Season, although his team narrowly missed out on the championship on the final day of the 2022-23 campaign.

While Bellingham scored his first international goal for England in a World Cup match against Iran, he will unfortunately miss the upcoming Euro 2024 qualifiers against Malta and North Macedonia due to injury.

In a statement last month, Bellingham expressed his aspiration to join one of European football’s elite clubs.

He stated, “My ultimate goal has always been to win. When asked about my ambitions in the game, it’s to win everything. And I have no reservations about saying that. I believe that every professional footballer should have that goal.”
