The Dodge Ram van seen in ‘School of Rock’ was auctioned off for $22,000.

A 1987 Dodge Ram B250 pickup truck that appeared in the movie ‘School of Rock’ sold online for $21,888 ($A33,500).

Offered through auction site Bring a Trailer, the 36-year-old van managed to attract 57 bids before the virtual hammer fell. The listing indicates that this truck was used to film the 2003 movie and is finished in brown with custom artwork on the top.

More than two decades after the film’s production, the truck appears to show its age inside and out, with a mix of real and fake corrosion that was created for the film.

Modifications to the truck include extended wheel arches, a roof-mounted vent, rear windows, grilles, and a rear ladder. Inside, the truck appears to be in better shape with a pair of red seats up front, tan carpeting throughout the cabin, faux wood dash panels, and door moldings decorated with various stripe stickers. Ceiling-mounted speakers, a door-mounted cabinet, and pipes for a smoke machine are also reportedly present.

Included with the truck were three guitars attached to the rear doors, a drum case, posters, a battery case, a certificate of authenticity, and a photograph signed by Jack Black.

Beneath the worn exterior is a carbureted 3.7-liter six-cylinder gasoline engine that sends power to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission. The listing indicates that the odometer read 99,000 miles (159,000 km), but the van’s total mileage is unknown.
