Xavier Ukponu, a three-star defensive tackle, has narrowed down his recruitment choices to nine schools.

Highly sought after defensive lineman, Xavier Ukponu, from Denton (Texas) Guyer High School, has narrowed down his recruitment process from over 30 offers to a select group of nine programs. The Class of 2025 standout announced his top list on Tuesday, which includes powerhouse schools such as LSU, Oregon, USC, Texas A&M, Arkansas, Cal, Washington, Oklahoma State, and Florida.

Out of the nine programs that made the cut, only three have scheduled official visits, with one visit already completed. Ukponu has already visited Oklahoma State on an official visit, as the Cowboys have prioritized getting prospects on campus early to establish relationships and build their recruiting class.

Arkansas and LSU are the two other programs with set dates for official visits, scheduled for May 31 and June 21, respectively. It is expected that at least some of the remaining six programs on Ukponu’s list will also receive official visits, with Texas A&M potentially entering the mix due to their increased recruiting efforts in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Ukponu, a three-star prospect, is ranked as the No. 88 player in Texas and the No. 30 defensive tackle in the 2025 class. His recruitment has garnered significant attention due to his impressive skill set and potential impact at the collegiate level.

As Ukponu continues to navigate his recruitment process, these top programs will be vying for his commitment and hoping to secure his talents for the future. Stay tuned for updates on his official visits and eventual college decision.
